History

It was the first capital of the United States under the U. S, Consititution
Ellis Island served as the primary immigration station from 1892 to 1954. People from all over the world came through Ellis Island in search of a better life.
It is home to the United Nations was established in NYC in 1952 after World War II
In 1885 France gifted the Lady Liberty, The Statue of Independence to the United States and it officially debuted in 1886.
NYC hosted 3 world fairs in 1853, 1939 and 1964.Four major attractions developed by Walt Disney for the 1964 World’s Fair became major attractions at Disneyland.
Broadway has served as the premier launching pad for musicals with 41 professional theaters.
The famous NYC Subway began running in 1904

Travel by Time of the Year
