Best Restaurants in San Antonio
Domingo Mexican Restaurant
$$ | 800 W Eldorado Pkwy Ste 126, Little Elm, TX 75068, United States
This restaurant has some of the best views on the Riverwalk. The patio, surrounded by lush flowers and greenery, creates a perfect dining atmosphere. In the evening, grab a seat by the water and watch the boats glide down the river—it’s beautiful.
A must-try is the short rib quesadillas. The meat literally melts in your mouth and comes with fresh salsa verde and a red chili glaze. If you have a sensitive palate, just ask them to leave off the red chili.
My friend ordered the evening special: Green Chile and Chicken Enchiladas. They came topped with creamed yogurt, avocado, tomato, cilantro, and lime. The presentation was just as impressive as the flavors.
The Good Stuff
- Reasonably priced
- Fantastic patio views along the Riverwalk
The Drawbacks
- Can get crowded at dinnertime
- Patio can get hot during the summer months
Saltgrass Steakhouse on the Riverwalk
$$ | 502 River Walk, San Antonio, TX 78205, United States
If you’re ready for a break from Mexican food and craving some quality beef, this is the spot. This Texas steakhouse is known for its mouthwatering ribeyes, T-bones, and filet mignon.
I ordered a loaded baked potato with their house salad, and my ribeye arrived perfectly cooked—hot, juicy, and topped with melted butter. I asked for medium-rare plus, and it was exactly that: tender, flavorful, and not at all raw.
My family ordered the filets and loved them. The fire-roasted Brussels sprouts were perfectly seasoned and roasted—I’m definitely getting those next time.
The Good Stuff
- Fun atmosphere
- Great view — you can watch boats pass along the Riverwalk
The Drawbacks
- Hot and humid during peak summer
- Patio can get noisy
